Description: The power plant requires the addition of a series of overhead cranes to support the production line. Our task is to assess the existing structure and provide a structural engineering design to support the cranes.

The most challenging part of installing the overhead crane support structure is having to assess the capacity of the existing building while finding enough space for the steel trusses without obstructing the production line. The high load requirements for post-installed anchors also present a challenge. To address this, we provided custom connections and extra vertical chords specifically for this purpose.
